Tips for Increasing Home Energy Efficiency
Even though we are way beyond the month of January, it’s never too late to start a new resolution! For example, if you have a goal of decreasing your home’s energy usage without also reducing comfort, then you are in the right place. When it comes to our tips for increasing home energy efficiency, we recommend taking a good hard look at your windows. If certain rooms in your house are sweltering in the summer and freezing in the winter, your current shades might not be providing adequate insulation. This causes your home’s air to creep out and the outside air to seep in. As a result, you will run to your thermostat and deal with higher energy bills while those rooms remain uncomfortable. Tip #1: Insulate Those Windows
As mentioned, poorly insulated windows are a considerable energy loss culprit in homes. With Hunter Douglas Duette® Cellular Shades, you can end poor insulation.
